Oakville Vytis 2009-2010 Tryout Information

Main Tryout Locations:

·  Syl Apps Youth Centre, 475 Iroquois Shore Rd, Oakville L6H 1M3 (east off Trafalgar Rd., one block north of QEW); map & directions here

·  ClearView Christian Reformed Church, 2300 Sheridan Garden Drive, Oakville, L6J 7R2 (east off Ford Drive, south of QEW, just north of Royal Windsor Drive) map & directions here

·  Kings Christian Collegiate, 528 Burnhamthorpe Rd W, Oakville, ON L6M 4K6 (at Neyagawa Blvd, just south of Hwy 407) map & directions here

·  Oaklands Regional Centre, 53 Bond St., Oakville, L6K 1L8 (east off Kerr St., one block north of Rebecca St.); map & directions here


Other locations may be used for additional tryouts.

Registration & Tryout Fee

 

Tryouts begin in early September and run to the end of September or beginning of October.

Registration is in person - just show up at any of the announced tryout sessions.

We will be charging a tryout fee of $20 per player, non-refundable in order to cover the costs of gym rentals for the tryouts.

The $20 fee gives each player admission to all tryout sessions for a given team, which will include instruction, skills training, and scrimmages.

Players are encouraged to attend all tryout sessions for their age group if possible. If you can't make at least two of these dates, please advise the coaches on-site or send an e-mail to info@oakvillevytis.com and be sure to state player name, gender, and year of birth.

·  Not all coaching assignments have been determined at this time. Some may not be finalized until the tryouts take place.
 

·  Additional teams may be formed, depending on (a) player turnout; (b) availability of qualified coaches; and (c) availability of practice gyms. Additional teams may consist of mixed age groups, for example a combination of players born in 1996 & 1997 competing at the Major Bantam U14 age level.
