Oakville Vytis 2007-2008 Tryout Information

Main Try-out Locations:

  • Oaklands Regional Centre (Oaklands), 53 Bond St., Oakville, L6K 1L8 (east off Kerr St., one block north of Rebecca St.) map

  • ClearView Christian Reformed Church (ClearView), 2300 Sheridan Garden Drive, Oakville, L6J 7R2 (corner of Sheridan Garden Drive and Ford Drive close to 403/QEW., just north of Royal Windsor Drive) map


    Other locations may be used for additional tryouts.

    • Registration & Tryout Fee


    Tryouts begin after Labour Day and run to the end of September or beginning of October (depending on gym availability)

    Registration is in person - just show up at any of the announced try-out sessions.

    We will be charging a try-out fee of $25 per player, non-refundable in order to cover the costs of gym rentals for the try-outs.

    The $25 fee gives each player admission to all three tryout sessions, which will include instruction, skills training, and scrimmages.

    Players are encouraged to attend all three sessions for their age group if possible. If you can't make at least two of these dates, please advise the coaches on-site or send an e-mail to info@oakvillevytis.com and be sure to state player name, gender, and year of birth.

  • Not all coaching assignments have been determined at this time. Some may not be finalized until the try-outs take place.
     
  • Additional teams may be formed, depending on (a) player turnout; (b) availability of qualified coaches; and (c) availability of practice gyms. Additional teams may consist of mixed age groups, for example a combination of players born in 1994 & 1995 competing at the Major Bantam U14 age level.
